Completed in 2015, Qube Condos is an eight-storey, mid-rise development featuring 74 thoughtfully designed residential suites within the Stonegate–Queensway community. This boutique condominium delivers a human-scale presence that aligns with Toronto’s Avenues planning strategy—bringing invigorating density with retail activation to a major arterial street. Standing at the intersection of The Queensway and Royal York Road, the project benefits from proximity to Humber Bay Park, the diverse dining along The Queensway, and Sherway Gardens, while offering rapid access to transit via the nearby Bloor–Danforth line.
Qube Condos delivers a balanced, contemporary design through its juxtaposition of brick and expansive glazing. A pronounced light well cuts vertically through the central massing, channeling daylight deep into the building and reinforcing indoor-outdoor connectivity. This approach challenges the homogeneity of mid-rise buildings, injecting visual interest and improving livability.
The building’s western facade is articulated in robust brick, offering privacy at well as continuity with surrounding properties—particularly strategic given the potential for future redevelopment nearby. Reflective glazing on other elevations, organized in clean bands, enhances light penetration while lending a sleek, modern edge.
Qube Condos offers 74 boutique-style suites ranging from approximately 476 to 1,034 square feet, fostering a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. The building includes elevated amenities such as a fitness centre, party room, rooftop deck, meeting rooms, and concierge service—augmenting the quality of daily life for residents.
As an exemplar of thoughtful mid-rise urbanism, Qube reinforces the Avenues concept by intensifying residential capacity along a major street front while maintaining pedestrian-friendly engagement at grade and scaled massing. The central light well not only activates the interior with daylight but strategically future-proofs the building to accommodate neighbouring development while maintaining interior quality.
